Jerusalem Philanthropic Initiatives Promotes Yasmin Israeli to COO
We are pleased to announce that Yasmin Israeli, who has been working in successively responsible positions at Jerusalem Philanthropy Initiatives (JPI) for the last five years, has been promoted to COO.
Yasmin’s responsibilities include leading and professionally mentoring JPI’s team, management and control of the core organizational areas, including human resources, information systems and financial management. In addition, Yasmin will be a full partner to JPI’s CEO Chaya Gilboa in planning the organizational vision and strategy, developing and building the infrastructure required for the actualization of the organizational vision and its implementation in the organization’s day to day.
Yasmin is diligent, professional and thorough, and is gifted with outstanding interpersonal skills, sensitivity and warmth,” said Chaya. “She has phenomenal organizational skills and brings an excellent visionary and strategic perspective. We are confident that this new appointment will bring significant momentum to the organization.”
Yasmin started her career in JPI as the operational manager of the Jerusalem Model. She was part of the development of the project and its transformation into an official nonprofit association where she heads up finance, accounting, and all operational elements of the organization.
Before joining JPI and the Jerusalem Model, Yasmin worked for six years at BrightSource, a company that builds solar power plants in Israel and abroad, where she managed the administrative team of the company’s software development department. In the past, she also served as content coordinator and supervisor of delegations in the Birthright project and as an assistant in the office of the CEO of the Jewish Agency.
Born and bred in Jerusalem, Yasmin has a BA in international relations, communications and journalism from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and lives in Jerusalem with her husband Guy and two daughters, Yael and Ayelet.
