Spend the 5th night of Chanukah with The Hive, interpreting lessons from the holiday on canvas. Your creativity will flow in a relaxed environment accented with music, learning about Chanukah, and great wine. An experienced artist will guide you step-by-step to create this featured painting. Artists of all levels are welcome! Everything you need will be provided, including canvas, paints, brushes, wine and more. Come on your own or in a group – painters will be set up at stations with plenty of space. The event will be indoors, so please prepare to wear a mask (other than while sipping!) for this program.
We are requiring that all guests be fully vaccinated and show proof upon entry (either virtual QR code or the physical card in-hand). We’re capping the event at 30 guests.
Meet Our Teaching Artists:
Jessica Kort has been creating art in acrylic, oil, and mixed media for over two decades. She aspires to capture fleeting moments and the intricate details in nature in her work. She enjoys opportunities to encourage others to paint, no matter their experience.
Jessica has painted murals across San Diego, including community participation works. She loves leading group painting sessions so participants can find meaning and joy in the process and results.
Laura Diede has been an artist for many years with preferred mediums being acrylics, watercolor, pen and pencil, clay and more. It seems like every day there is something that inspires her to paint, photograph or create a unique work of art. Shading and shadows intrigue her and she loves to create new or custom paintings that move people towards appreciating art. She has a Facebook page called Fine Brush Studios (@finebrushstudios) and will be updating it soon.
Currently, our event is full. If you are still interested, please email Jordan Daniels at jordan@leichtag.org to add your name to a waitlist – we are hoping to open another session of this event at an earlier time!
