Hubitus – the JBG Hub for Urban Sustainability – was established by the Jerusalem Botanical Gardens (JBG) in 2014 as a tool to bridge engagement between the Gardens and Jerusalem’s environmental community. Hubitus works to transform Jerusalem into an international model of sustainability and resiliency – socially, environmentally and economically – by creating programs and opportunities that connect communities; environmentalists, entrepreneurs, professionals, students, schools and special needs populations.

In tandem with the beauty of the Botanical Gardens, Hubitus believes that Jerusalem’s re-integration with nature is a source of new life for the city. The project goes beyond beautification to foster education, cooperation and celebration.

Foundation funding supports organizational needs as well as building their physical space, which will provide eco-friendly and cutting-edge coworking, events, and education.
