The Role of Ego in Cultivating Conscious Leadership

July 18, 2023 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am PDT

“In order to lead efforts toward social change, you must lead an effort to change and remake yourself—again and again.” – David Bronner

As a sought-after executive leadership coach, Eric has observed that the #1 source of leadership breakdowns is ego myopia, or the inability to distinguish and manage one’s ego.  Ego typically manifests itself in three ways:  The need to be right, the need to be liked and the need to be in control. When we actively commit to working on ourselves, we open ourselves to becoming the kind of leader our teams, and ultimately the world need us to be.

In this workshop we will look at:

  • How to recognize ego-myopia in ourselves.
  • The impact of ego-myopia on teams, workplaces, and ultimately the causes we care about.
  • The three core components of conscious leadership:  Wisdom, love and power, and how to cultivate these qualities in ourselves and in our organizations.

Facilitated by Eric Kaufmann, Executive Leadership Coach.

In Partnership with Dr. Bronner’s. 1.5 CFRE* credits.
