Shalom Baby, a countywide program of the Lawrence Family Jewish Community Center, connects families with newborn babies to the local Jewish community.  Leichtag Foundation funding has supported this work in North County for the past seven years.  The program has provided more than 2,000 PJ Library subscriptions to more than 625 children. Additionally, it helped engage more than 2,000 people in organized Shabbat dinners, Jewish holiday celebrations, classes, playgroups, community collaborations, and parenting workshops. Shalom Baby teamed up with many Jewish and secular organizations in North County for collaborative programming.
