THIS IS A 2 DAY EVENT
May 2nd and 16th from 530-830pm.
Consensus Organizing is a model that emphasizes identifying mutual self-interest among diverse parties in order to work towards achieving a specific and attainable goal. These trainings will be instructed by Jennifer Cosio, Director of the Consensus Organizing Center and Dr. Jessica Robinson, Assistant Dean for Student Affairs in the College of Health and Human Services at San Diego State University. These trainings provide community members and non-profit professionals an opportunity to learn how to utilize the Consensus Organizing Model to establish and maintain partnerships, discover grant opportunities, identify the self-interest of your funders and partners, and create programs with long-lasting outcomes.
You will walk away from this training with the skills to: conduct a community analysis (identifying internal and external resources based on mutual self-interests), build, maintain, and increase social capital, and conduct evaluation of progress.
Ticket price includes dinner. Note that this is a 2 day session. May 2nd and 16th from 530-830pm.
